NEW CLASS

The "Two-sies" Series

The "Two-sies" Series of seven classes featuring From Nancy's Needle designs. Class will be taught by Colleen Harris. Cost of all classes except the last is $40.00 plus tax (includes registration fee, chart, threads, canvas). Cost of the last class (Gingerbread Houses) will be $42.00. You will need to supply stretcher bars, tacks, and #22 needles. Threre is no teaching fee for the class. Class size has a maximum of 12 students so don't hesitate to sign up for one or two or however many you'd like!

Student proficiency should be Basic Intermediate. Each month students will learn to stitch a pattern from From Nancy's Needle Small Quilt Series. Included will be information on how to stitch with variegated threads and how to do basic counted needlework stitches.

Beginning in April, there will be two separate tracks of classes. The first track will be from 1pm to 4pm, the second track will be 6pm to 9pm. Both tracks will teach the same piece and will be held on the same day each month over seven months, April through October. In other words, one design will be taught each month on one day; you choose your prefered time slot for the series--1pm to 4pm or 6pm to 9pm. The final schedule will be published shortly.

In November, Gail will teach a class on how to finish all of the pieces you've stitched. More information on the finishing class is forthcoming.

If you would like to purchase a kit but not take the class, you are welcome to do so. Kit costs remain the same whether you take the class or not.

Beginning Needlepoint and Beyond I --Ribbons Blank Canvas classes taught by Colleen Harris have a $15.00 class fee plus the purchase of your supplies from our shop. You will learn color, fiber differences, techniques and a variety of stitches during this one day class. If you have been doing needlepoint but never had a class, this is for you as well as the beginner. You will pick up tips and techniques that will help you with your stitching forever. Check the calendar to find one that meets your schedule and call us to register at 770-591-2466. Colleen will contact you to set up a time prior to class to pick our materials. Private lessons for small groups can be arranged.

Beginning Needlepoint and Beyond II -- Painted Canvas classes taught by Colleen Harris have a $15.00 class fee plus the purchase of your supplies from our shop. You will learn about painted canvases, their differences, and how to choose stiches and colors for the canvas during this one day class. The Beginning Needlepoint and Beyond I class is a prerequisite to taking this class. Colleen will contact you to set up a time prior to class to pick our materials. Check the calendar to find one that meets your schedule. Private lessons for small groups can be arranged.

Finishing A Pillow

Kathy Shewmaker will teach the Finishing A Pillow class. Just let us know if you are interested and we'll schedule the class.

Beginning Punchneedle

Colleen Harris will teach the basics of doing Punch Needle stitching. Punch Needle stitching is fast and easy. Many say this type is their favorite. Cost of the class is $15.00 plus the cost of the kit which includes thread, Lizzie Kate kit, hoop, and needle (~$40.00). Materials must be purchased prior to class. Check the calendar for a scheduled class and let us know if you're interested.

*Most classes require a minimum of two students. If a class has a higher minimum number of students, individual class information will indicate so.

*Most classes require a basic tool kit. The basic tool kit for needlepoint contains needles, needle threader, scissors, laying tool, stretcher bars/tacks or scroll bar frame. The basic tool kit for cross stitch contains needles, needle threader, scissors. You are welcome to bring additional tools if you require them such as lights, magnifying lenses, canvas weights, etc.
